Design Helps is an exhibition being held in New Delhi on October 13–17. The exhibition is based on the highly successful Design Helps Living Room event that featured on the Helsinki World Design Capital 2012 program, presenting 10 examples of innovative design and solution models for sustainable employment and infrastructure development. The Living Room was conceived by the Finnish Tikau Share NGO that operates in India with a special focus on the sustainable development of a Dalit, or ‘Untouchable’, community in the eastern state of Odisha.

The 2013 Design Helps show will again be curated by Tikau Share and staged at the India Habitat Center’s Open Palm Court in the Indian capital.

The exhibition aims to take the principle of Design for Sustainable Development several steps further by involving a wide range of participants. The exhibition environment will make use of materials reflecting sustainability and will present an engaging and absorbing display of test cases. Architecture, infrastructure and sustainable employment will be among the case themes.
